TypeEdit is the Artistic CAD/CAM software dedicated to NC
mechanical machining, that efficiently handles all
requirements of 2D and 3D cutting or engraving.
Just like a graphic designer, the user can give full
expression to his creativity and imagination thanks to
advanced CAD functions: specialized text mode, powerful
drawing tools and more.
With the help of a simple scanner, TypeEdit reproduces
designs and logos onto the screen, ready to be retouched
and modified intuitively and accurately. A wide array of
efficient tools is at your disposal to help you create
designs rapidly. The basic module comes with libraries of
over 5000 symbols and typographic characters (TrueType and
single-line fonts). Once created, the engraving can then be
projected or wrapped around the most complex surfaces,
which can be created in Type3 or imported from other
systems.
After design is done, TypeEdit lets you choose the
appropriate tools for cutting, marking, engraving and
sculpting the industrial part. You can choose between
relief or recess mode and between 2D and 3D cutting or
engraving modes. No matter how complicated the drawing or
typography is, the program calculates the optimal
trajectory of the tool, manages collisions, and takes every
detail of contours and angles into account.
Combined with the TypeArt artistic module, it becomes the
most powerful tool on the market for all identification and
decoration applications for industrial parts.
