| HE-AAC is the new audio coding standard. Developed by leading |
| experts in the audio compression field, it is standardised by the |
| MPEG committee (same organisation that developed MP3, MPEG-2 (DVD) |
| Video, etc..). |

| AAC (Advanced Audio Coding) is the result of intensive research |
| and development, and contains many improvements over older coding |
| methods including MP3. With sampling frequencies ranging from 8 to |
| 96 kHz, and up to 48 channel support, there is a much better stereo |
| coding and filter bank. |
| |
| HE AAC (High Efficiency AAC) is the latest improvement of the MPEG-4 |
| AAC standard. Designed for ultra low bit rate coding, as low as 32 |
| Kb/s Stereo (45:1 compression!) HE AAC is able to achieve superior |
| audio quality, without losing treble sound or collapsing of the |
| stereo image. According to the formal listening tests done by |
| leading broadcast unions, HE AAC clearly outperforms competition |
| at 48 and 64 Kb/s. |

| The included Aac.dll has been cracked to enable full MPEG-4 AAC |
| encoding/decoding functionality. Just copy it in the AudioPlugins |
| directory ( C:\Program Files\Common Files\Ahead\AudioPlugins by |
| default ), overwriting the original file. |
