KP-SimulatorÖ is designed to allow you to capture screen movies,
and deliver them to users as eLearning, or demonstrations of your
software.
Capture Setup
With KP-SimulatorÖ, you'll be able to create up to 25 frames per
second movies captured directly from your screen. Before
capture, you'll be able to:
Select what part of the screen to capture - either full screen, a
selected region, or a selected window
Set start and end capture keys
Use timed or manual screen capture
Determine whether audio is captured or not
Quickly change screen resolution
Movie Capture
When KP-SimulatorÖ is capturing a movie, it will:
Become invisible
Record all mouse movements, clicks, and timing
Automatically remove redundant frames
Record everything that occurs in the selected region
Movie Editing
After capture, and before creating the movie, you'll be able to
perform such tasks as:
Add and remove frames
Change frame timing
Add images, logos or watermarks to selected frames
Add arrows with simple keyboard shortcuts
Add and edit text boxes on selected frames
Create printouts or handouts from selected frames
Paste objects and frames to and from the clipboard
Edit individual frames in external graphics programs
Preview results instantly
Select and add title frames effortlessly. Customize title text, font
and color.
Change, move or remove cursors from any frame
Designate mousedown frames
Designate keydown frames
Record a new audio track, synchronized to your video
Optionally select a new region to export as the movie, regardless
of what has been captured
Select regions for the movie to move to as the movie is being
played back
Select hotspots for interaction
Creating the Movie
When you are ready to create your movie, KP-SimulatorÖ can:
Allow you to determine what format to output to - animated gif,
Windows Media, or Flash (swf)
Allow you to select a frame rate, up to 25 frames a second
Automatically create filler frames between captured frames for
smooth mouse motion
Allow you to add a border
Allow you to select a quality setting
Create variable bit rate videos for the ultimate in size and quality
of the resultant movie
Allow you to create Author, Copyright, Description, Rating, and
Title fields to be embedded in the movie (if Windows Media Format
is the output)
Create SCORM compliant HTML pages to deliver your movie
