Delta SP has a lot of parts, including a sequencer, sampler, synth, modular
synth builder, wave editor and more. It's all crammed into an intuitive, easy to
use program that lets your imagination lead the way with the music you compose.
It's intended for songwriters and musicians of all levels. You can use it to
write songs, write jingles, compose film music, design synths, play live with
your mic or keyboard, sequence MIDI, or just learn about MIDI and synthesis in
general.
The Facts
Delta SP is like a bunch of normal music software programs, except it's all been
crammed into one, so it's much bigger, but more powerful and easier to use once
you've learned the basics.
Delta SP has a sequencer, which plays MIDI messages to it's internal synthesizer
or to external MIDI devices.
You can use Delta SP to compose music, jingles or even radio programs or film
sounds. When your project is ready you can use the export to Audio file function
to save your project as a high definition wav,mp3 or ogg file.
The Delta SP synthesizer is stereo, including effects. It uses 32 bit audio and
is fast. It loads Internal Plugins called Synthcards, as well as VST plugins. It
has a big integrated sampler similar to soundfont technology which works
together with the synth.
Delta SP is now shareware, you must register for a license key to run version
1.61 and above without restriction. Sorry, the costs of making free software is
astoundingly unbalanced compared to the profits! Version 1.60 will be free
forever or as long as theres a demand for it.
Delta SP works great on Windows 95 thru Windows XP.
Delta SP should take you a few hours to get familiar with if you are reasonably
proficient with working a computer. It might take you sometime to learn all the
parts if you are not familiar with music software in general. If you have used
music software before, you will recognize a lot of standard tools and panels in
Delta SP.
