CustomFolder will let you put a customized icon for any Windows
standard folder. In particular, CustomFolder has the following
features:
You can change the icons individually for each folder (e.g.
documents, programs, etc.) !
CustomFolder comes with a standard library of more than hundred
high quality folder icons (in 256 colors) !
You can select any other icon library, icon file or any Windows
executable or DLL that contains icons.
CustomFolder is able to create a customized folder-like icon
"on-the-fly" from any icon !
CustomFolder can automatically search a folder for applications
and generate the corresponding folder-look icon !
No hassle with a complex interface: icons are changed with a
single click in the folder context menu, in a window that is almost
identical to the "change shortcut icon" standard window.
CustomFolder does not take ressources from your computer, because
it just activates a feature already contained in the Windows
environnement!
CustomFolder is not a resident program, so it doesn't take any
system memory (except when the folder is beeing edited).
CustomFolder fully integrates in the Windows Explorer.
Right-clicking on any standard folder will show the menu item "Change
icon...":
Selecting "Change icon..." will popup a window that is almost
identical to the Windows standard one that opens when you change the
icon of a shortcut. Choose your icon in the list, or select an other
icon library (or icon file, DLL or EXE file) and click OK. The Windows
Explorer will then show the selected icon for this folder!
